BYD India has announced that its recently launched SEAL has crossed the milestone of 500 bookings in the country. Launched on March 5, 2024, this car achieved this feat in just 15 days.
BYD SEAL Price, Range, and Variants: BYD has introduced the SEAL in three variants, including Dynamic, Premium, and Performance, offering two battery pack options, claiming a maximum range of 650 kilometers per charge. The ex-showroom price of this electric sedan starts from 41 lakhs INR and goes up to 53 lakhs INR. Customers can choose from four exterior paint options, including Arctic Blue, Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, and Cosmic Black.
Company Statement: Sanjay Gopalkrishnan, Senior Vice President of BYD India's Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, said, "We are confident about our product and its pricing, and we are pleased to see the response it has received in the market. We touched the figure of 200 bookings immediately after the launch, and within 15 days, we have registered 500 bookings. This data indicates that Indian customers are eager for sustainable motoring solutions at competitive prices and stylish offerings. We are already exploring a premium electric MPV with the new e6 and an electrically driven E-SUV with the BYD Atto 3. The latest BYD SEAL expands our portfolio in India with an electric sports sedan that is highly stylish and impressive."
Competition: In the Indian market, it competes with the EV6, which claims to have a range of up to 708 kilometers per charge. Its ex-showroom price ranges from 60.95 lakhs INR to 65.95 lakhs INR.
