The sub-4-meter SUV segment in the Indian market continues to witness significant growth. Recently, both the Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet received facelift updates, and Skoda is also working to enter this segment. Following suit, Nissan is preparing to update its Magnite, which could potentially be launched in India by the end of this year.
Updates in the Nissan Magnite Facelift:
The testing model was completely camouflaged, although the car was seen with new alloy wheels. No major changes have been made to the main design, but some changes in the bumper could be expected to give it a fresh look. Nissan might also include redesigned headlights and taillights in this SUV facelift. Several new features are expected in the Magnite facelift, including auto-dimming IRVM, an electric sunroof, and ventilated features. It is anticipated that the existing 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder petrol (72hp) and turbo-petrol (100hp) engine options will remain available.
Expected Launch Timeline: Nissan has not yet confirmed any news regarding the launch of the Magnite facelift, but from the prototype, it is evident that the SUV is in its final stages of development. The Magnite will complete four years in India this December, and it is now set to receive a mid-life update.
Price and Competition for Nissan Magnite Facelift: With a starting ex-showroom price of 6 lakhs INR, the Nissan Magnite remains one of the most affordable SUVs in India. Capability has been a significant factor for the Magnite, and it is expected to continue with the facelift. It will compete with models like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra.
